Dr. Marc Newquist

Marc J. Newquist, M.D., F.A.C.E.P., is an accomplished Physician Executive with more than 25 years of leadership, clinical, administrative and advisory experience in emergency and hospital medicine. As the founder and CEO of Newquist Medical, he is committed to driving strategic initiatives that improve a hospital’s metrics, create efficiencies, and ultimately improve patient satisfaction.

Over the last 8 years of full time engagement in Hospital Medicine, Dr. Newquist lead the startup and management of over 50 Hospital Medicine contracts ranging from establishing new HM programs to optimizing the efficiencies of large University practices. Coupling his experience with inpatient medicine with his 25 years as a Board Certified Emergency Physician, Dr. Newquist brings a unique perspective to the table that has proven to be both valuable and lucrative to the organizations by fostering synergy between the ED and HM department. The ultimate beneficiary is the patient who experiences a seamless transition from the outpatient to the inpatient setting.

Combined with his professional experience, he is also a Diplomat of the American Board of Emergency Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. He holds medical licenses in Florida, Alabama, and Georgia. Dr. Newquist received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois, Urbana, received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Illinois, Chicago and completed his Emergency Medicine residency at the Orlando Regional Medical Center in Orlando Florida. He is an active member of Society of Hospital Medicine (SHM) as well as the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP).
